Historic Eu in one day
Quick Facts
This relaxing itinerary takes you through the historic heart of Eu, a charming Norman town rich in royal and religious heritage. Begin your morning at the magnificent Collegiate Church of Our Lady and Saint Lawrence, a 12th-century Gothic masterpiece housing the tomb of Irish Saint Laurent O'Toole. Continue to the impressive Château d'Eu, the former summer residence of King Louis-Philippe I, now a museum showcasing royal artifacts and the French-Brazilian royal connection. End your day at the intimate Chapel of the Jesuit College, a 17th-century gem with beautiful marble mausoleums. Important: The Château d'Eu is closed on Tuesdays. The Chapel is closed on Mondays. All attractions are within easy walking distance (under 1 km total). Entry to the Château costs €5 (€2 reduced), while both religious sites offer free admission.
