Étretat Cliffs Walk
Quick Facts
This scenic walking tour takes you along Étretat's world-famous chalk cliffs, immortalized by Impressionist master Claude Monet. Start at Falaise d'Aval to admire the elephant-shaped arch and L'Aiguille needle rock, then continue along the GR21 trail to the massive Manneporte arch. Descend to the beautiful pebble beach for close-up views of the dramatic white cliffs and the Needle. End your day exploring the charming Old Market Square with its timber-frame architecture. Important: Always check tide times before walking on the beach - visitors can get trapped between cliffs by rising tides. The cliff-top paths involve moderate hiking with some steep sections. Total walking distance approximately 8.5 km.
