This walking tour covers the main historical sites of Domfront in about two hours. The route begins at the neo-Byzantine Saint-Julien Church with its Art Deco mosaics, continues to the impressive castle ruins offering panoramic views over the Varenne valley, and ends at the Romanesque Notre-Dame-sur-l'Eau church by the river. All three sites offer free entry. Note that Notre-Dame-sur-l'Eau opens at 10:00, so starting at 9:00 allows comfortable pacing.
