Quick Facts
Discover the extraordinary Gisacum Archaeological Site, the only hexagonal Roman city in the world, featuring beautifully preserved 2nd-3rd century thermal baths and an interpretation center with fascinating exhibits. This unique sanctuary town once covered 250 hectares and was dedicated to the god Gisacus, serving as a major religious and leisure center in Roman Gaul. Explore the monumental ruins, walk through the archaeological garden, and observe ongoing excavations at the temple area. Important: The site is open seasonally from March 1 to November 15, with afternoon hours (1:30 PM - 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM) in spring and autumn, and extended morning hours in July-August. Admission is completely free. Located 7 km from Évreux, the site is well-signposted from the N13 highway.
