This walking itinerary covers the main D-Day landing sites at the western end of Omaha Beach in Vierville-sur-Mer. The route includes Omaha Beach with the striking Les Braves memorial sculpture, the National Guard Monument honoring the 29th Infantry Division, and the preserved WN72 German bunker complex with its original 88mm anti-tank gun. All sites are free to access and open year-round. The beaches are publicly accessible at all times, though visitors should check tide times as the sea retreats significantly at low tide.
