The Jérôme Carcopino Municipal Library is housed in a remarkable late 15th-century Renaissance house classified as a Historic Monument, featuring a distinctive turret and checkerboard facade of stone, brick, and flint. Named after the renowned historian Jérôme Carcopino (1881-1970), who was born in Verneuil-sur-Avre and became a member of the Académie française, the library preserves nearly 7,000 rare volumes from the 17th-19th centuries alongside a modern collection of books, DVDs, and CDs.
