Calvados Père Magloire Experience (Calvados Pere Magloire L'Experience)

Calvados Père Magloire L'Experience is an immersive museum located in the historic cellars of the oldest Calvados house in Normandy, opened in 2018. The 45-minute multisensory journey uses light, sound, and special effects to trace the history of Normandy from its Viking origins through World War II, while explaining how local apples are transformed into Calvados through careful distillation. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of three Calvados varieties of different ages. Tours run every 15-30 minutes and are available in 8 languages including French, English, German, and Japanese. The facility won a Silver Medal at the 2021 International Spirit Challenge for tourism. All areas are wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, with a shop offering Calvados products open until 7pm.
